For those organizations who want to, let them participate by having a "charity" area.

Jack Johnson, when he was last in "Toronto" had such an area. People were encouraged to visit these organizations and support them during the concert festival. Maybe something similar.
I'm thinking more than just having a desk like last year's event.

Have a caregiver or family member for the winning charity at the event.
Depending on the winning charity, you could have family members or caregivers of those with the specfic disease so that people could put a "real face" to the illness if they didn't know anything about it... I find it helps them understand illness's easier.

re-post or allow access to the comments posted during the final vote period
There were so many wonderful comments posted about our organizations. Over 50 people posted comments, for example, on the Toronto Environmental Alliance's section of this site, over 40 on Meal Exchanges, and I think over 30 on Rethink's.
It would be great if the organizations could have access to them again to share with volunteers, to thank people for their support, etc.
Please make them available.

Make sure the boat comes back before midnight for commuters.
GO train service will end at midnight. Or there needs to be some alternative that makes sense.
